  1. Renown Author Shares Accolades for the Liberation Diet!

Posted by Randy Roach on 9th Nov 2009

There aren’t many diet books that interest me anymore, especially one that I would sit and read fully in a single sitting. However, “The Liberation Diet” easily kept me captivated throughout its entirety. It is rare to find a book on diet today that is based on common sense and historical precedent. Kevin Brown and Annette Presley have managed to cut through our contemporary nutritional garbage and bring to market a book constituted on solid dietary principles and a simple rationale.

Much of their content flies in the face of the vast majority of our current dietary “experts,” many of whom represent political and/or pure commercial interests. What I found refreshing was how their suggested protocol aligned almost identically with one of the greatest natural bodybuilders of the 20th century, Vince Gironda. In order to strengthen and state their case, Kevin and Annette went back in time to chronicle the works of our nutritional and Physical Culture pioneers. They lay out a history that clearly supports their claim that our traditional North American dietary staples were sound in nutrition and facilitated excellent health.

The mandate of “The Liberation Diet” is to both free the general laymen of the current confusion surrounding healthy food and make simple alterations for safe and effective fat loss that have stood the test of time. Hopefully this book will see wide spread distribution. Excellent job!

  2. Author of Natural Health and Weight Loss Loves The Liberation Diet

Posted by Barry Groves on 9th Nov 2009

    Hi Kevin

I finally managed to read The Liberation Diet.

It's brilliant! The book has a very strong Introduction and the use of The Matrix as an illustration was inspired. The writing style is also very easy to read for the layman and holds the interest; I wasn't bored with it once. In many ways it is a 'popular' version of my latest book, Trick and Treat: how 'healthy eating' is making us ill. We both blame the 'health industry', BigFood and BigPharma, and advise eating a more natural, largely meat-based diet.

I loved The Liberation Diet. And although most of the content was known to me, I did learn things I hadn't known. Thank you for that education.

Best wishes for the book. People need to know how they are being manipulated. The more copies of The Liberation Diet and Trick & Treat are sold, the sooner our people will have a chance to be healthy again as God intended.

  3. Another Doctor Recommends The Liberation Diet

Posted by Dr. Woody Jackson, MD on 9th Nov 2009

    Doctor Recommended
As a physician, when it came time for me to lose weight and improve my over-all health, I was supposed to know the safest and most efficient way to get in shape. Yet when it came time to put my plan into effect, I felt my 15 years of medical training as a family physician didn’t equip me to achieve my weight loss and exercise goals within my scheduled 100 hour work week. I clearly needed professional help. The solution was to find a personal trainer who would come to me on a flexible schedule and teach me about nutrition, diet, and exercise.
Before working with Kevin Brown, President of Visionary Trainers, I had spent about 6 weeks on a poorly designed exercise regimen that was devoid of good nutritional advice. Kevin Brown, a certified personal trainer with 20 years experience, designed a plan that helped me eat better, diet smarter, and exercise my way to a 16 lb weight loss in less than 4 weeks. Now Kevin has written this book, The Liberation Diet, that tells the truth about the mis-information on weight management in today’s society and teaches individuals how to achieve lasting weight loss success.
How does this book differ from the rest? It’s a revolutionary look at why traditional diets don’t work and what everyone should be doing to improve their lifestyles. Most weight management programs are monolithic in their approach, placing all individuals on the same regimen regardless of their individual needs. Not everyone will achieve their weight loss goals by just following the grapefruit diet, or walking 1 mile a day, or even by just cutting carbs. The Liberation Diet teaches you how to combine the right balance of nutrition, diet, and exercise to achieve your lifestyle success.
This book is groundbreaking work for use by novice or even advanced trainees. I highly encourage anyone interested in a safe, effective, and pharmaceutical free diet, to read The Liberation Diet. The experience will set you free to discover secrets to improve your overall quality of life.

  4. A wonderfully entertaining, helpful, and fascinating book!

Posted by A. Hardin on 9th Nov 2009

This book is exactly what the world needs to hear! Thank you so much for getting the truth out about real nutrition and diet!
One thing I love about this book is that it is well written and not a typical diet book. The authors tell the history of many of the foods we eat today as well as explain things in a way that anybody can understand. It was an actual page turner and that is saying alot about a diet book.
My entire family has been on the liberation diet and we are seeing big changes fast. Thank you Annette and Kevin for standing up for our rights to know the truth about food!

  5. Finally someone who understands nutrition! This book is outstanding. True common sense!

This book is a common sense approach to healthy living. It is easy to follow and contains sound information. I highly reccomend it!

  6. Makes Perfect Sense to Me

Posted by C. Marshall on 9th Nov 2009

I know one of the author's of the book and at first when she told me of it I was skeptical because of all the information doctors and dieticians have given me over the years. This was opposite of everything they said but the more I read it the more it makes sense!

Thank you for finally telling us the truth!

  7. Liberate Yourself from Misinformtaion!

Posted by Jeff D. Wahlen "milwaukeeroad" on 9th Nov 2009

With all the information readily available worldwide regarding healthful living and proper nutrition, how is it the USA's rife with heart disease, obesity, and an ever-burgeoning health care dilemma? The Liberation Diet is an absolute "must read." Unfortunately, we've been intentionally programmed by the food, medical & pharmaceutical industries with misinformation and myths that have almost destroyed our national health. Authors Brown and Presley navigate through the minefield of misconceptions surrounding low fat high-carb diets, soy additives, pharmaceutical medications, good cholesterol laden foods like butter, eggs, and saturated fats, coconut oils, salts, sugars, and proteins, as well as water consumption and exercise with just plain old common sense, profound (often forgotten) research, and hands on experiences. Frustrated Dieters Beware: The Liberation Diet WORKS!

  8. Eat fat, and lose fat! Sounds counter-intuitive but isn't.

Posted by S. Miles "nutrition nut" on 9th Nov 2009

If you are overweight, ask yourself if all the diets and excercise programs you have tried have worked. The answer, for most people is "No!" Well, it's not because you didn't try; it's because the diet information you were given was incorrect. It's not your fault that it didn't work. Not only is that diet information incorrect, it's actually dangerous. The Liberation Diet is a diet you can live on for the rest of your life, and you'll want to after you read this book.

I bought Kevin's book after seeing his presentation, but I didn't buy it because I wanted to lose weight. I bought it because I was looking for ways to avoid getting cancer, diabetes, or heart disease, since those are now so prevalent in my famly. Every day I hear of someone else who has been diagnosed with cancer, or has died of it. There has to be some environmental reason for all these diseases increasing exponentially. I also wanted to stop my carb craving cycles, which I knew were going to lead to "adult onset" diabetes. My weight was OK, but my energy wasn't.

I learned so much from his book, and I'm now finding many other books that confirm his statements. If you like The Liberation Diet, I would recommend getting a copy of Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon as a companion book. You'll want a cookbook that is in line with Kevin's diet principles, and this one will teach you about nutrition while it's teaching you to cook real food that much healthier and nutritious.

The Liberation Diet explains the seeming paradox of eating fat to lose fat. The kind of fat you eat makes all the difference, and after you read this book, you'll never touch margarine, Crisco, canola oil (there's no such thing as a canola plant), or any food with partially hydrogenated vegetable oil (which is probably 50-80% of what is in your pantry right now). Now I see potato chips as cancer in a bag. It's funny how that takes away my desire for them. Bread, on the other hand, is much harder for me to give up, so I eat sprouted grain bread with butter when I let myself have it.

Drinking real milk (not pasteurized) is actually much safer and healthier than drinking pasteurized milk, but I'll let you read his book to see why. I can tell you that my husband, who was always lactose intolerant when he drank pasteurized milk, was able to drink real milk with no problem. Now that the enzymes are in his body from the real milk, he can even drink a little pasteurized milk without digestive upset, except that pasteurized milk isn't good for anyone.

Whether the government is in a conspiracy with food production or not, is not the point, although it explains a lot to those of us who believe that following the money will lead you to the corruption. The point is that there is scientific reasoning and lots of traditional health behind the Liberation Diet. My recommendation is to get your blood tested before the diet and then again after about 6 months on the diet and see for yourself. My husband's cholesterol dropped 20 points in 1 month, his weight dropped 12 lb., and his blood pressure came down too. I have another relative whose IBS was dramatically improved in 1 week on the diet, and her knee pain went away. She lost 7 lb. the first week.

I highly recommend this book and the principles it supports for everyone, no matter how healthy or slim you are. I wish there were a way to convince everyone, including doctors and nutritionists, that this is how we should be eating. The book is a good start, but "we the people" are very well indoctrinated with misinformation. If you like this book, please spread the word. I truly believe you could save a life.

  9. Great Book...Common Sense!!

Posted by Apostolic Reader "Nancy" on 9th Nov 2009

Great book! It makes so much sense! Why we keep doing the same thing expecting different results is mind-boggling...This just makes sense.

Think about the so-called "French paradox redux" This book would explain why the French can eat butter and Pate de Foie Gras and be thinner and healthier than us. DUH!

  10. Amazing Information

Posted by Kelly Stack on 9th Nov 2009

The information presented in this book is like none you've ever seen before in any diet, nutrition or weight loss book out on the market. You will be astonished at how different the information is, yet how easy it is to follow and why it completely makes sense. I predict this book being presented on Oprah some day. Get reading this book and get liberated yourself!
